If we had 1 inch of rain on 1500 sq. ft. how many gallons would be on that surface?
1,500 square feet = 216,000 square inches.
1 inch of water on that area = 216,000 cubic inches.
216,000 cubic inches = approximately 935 gallons [US, liquid]
