How many bones are there in our skull?
There are twenty two (22) bones that make up the human skull.
Eight plate-like bones form the cranium, the part of the skull that holds the brain.
The lower front of the skull is comprised of fourteen facial bones including the mandible (jaw bone), the maxilla (upper jaw), the zygomatic (cheek bone), and the nasal bone.
